Fairs and feasts of Saint Narcís
Girona’s fairs are celebrated in October around the feast of Saint Narcís which is the patron saint of the city (29th of October). The feast begins the day before Saint Narcís Day with the reading of the banns from the balcony of the city hall. In Saint Narcís Day it’s celebrate a solemn mass in the church of Saint Feliu, where there’s a chapel with the mortal remains of Saint Narcís. In the Park of “La Devesa”, there are installed attractions and stands of student and different associations of the city selling food and drinks which are called “Barraques”. In “Barraques” you can listen to different live concerts during the night. The 1st of November, festivity of All Saint’s Day, it takes place the gambler’s and paintings fairs, which fulfil the city with visitors. The feasts end in the first Sunday of November with the traditional fireworks.
