International Non-Professional Theater Festival of Girona – FITAG

Since 1998, it takes places at the end of August the International Non-Professional Theater Festival of Girona, called FITAG. It is characterized for presenting a collection of new plays of the most diverse and innovative styles. The amateur companies acting in this festival come from Catalonia as well as from all countries around the world such as Russia, Argentina, Iran or Israel.

Although it initially began in “Casa de la Cultura”, nowadays the plays can be performed in many different scenarios of the city such as the “Centre Cultural de La Mercè”, the “Teatre Municipal” and the “Sala La Planeta”. Those actuations take place from six o’clock till the night.

The entry to all the spectacles is free; however the capacity is limited so it must be picked the invitation in the box-office one or two hours before the performance.
